Spring into library for school holiday fun

From robots and coding to a teddy bears’ picnic – there will be fabulous activities for all school aged children during the coming school holidays at Guyra and Armidale libraries.
As in past years, the libraries – run by Armidale Regional Council - will also host school holiday opportunities for students sitting the HSC.
A large meeting room will be available for study, with free snacks and drinks for the students and free printing and photocopying services for the week:
• 9:30am to 5:30pm, October 8 to 11 at Armidale Library
• 10am to 5pm, October 8 to 10 at Guyra Library.
“Students can study alone, or collaborate in groups,” said Jennifer Watson, Armidale Regional Libraries’ Children and Youth Librarian.
“So, come along and meet students from other schools for this once in a lifetime experience studying and completing the HSC.”
Guyra Library School Holiday Program includes:
• October 1 - Lego Challenge - Based on a Trout Fest/Fishing theme, come along and build your own creation and display in the library. 10.30am -12noon and 2pm to 3.30pm. Bookings required.
• October 2 - 10:30am - Movie Morning “Kung Fu Panda 4”. Popcorn and water supplied. Children under age 10 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible person.
• October 4 - 10:15am - 4:30pm - Virtual Reality. Ages 10 and up. Bookings required.
• October 8 - Sphero Fun - build your own vehicle to race in our Sphero maze, draw a Sphero artwork. 10.30am to 12noon and 2pm to 3.30pm. Bookings essential.
• October 10 - 10:15am - 4:30pm - Virtual Reality. Ages 10 and up. Bookings required.
