Shy-Shy Torrens received a Highly Commended award

On Thursday, June 27, the Premier’s Multi-cultural Perspectives Public Speaking event took place at Drummond Public School in Armidale.
Guyra Central School was proudly represented by four students from K-6. The Stage 2 representatives were Shy-Shy Torrens and Elsie Post, while Charlotte Auld and Rose Gordon represented Stage 3.
All our students demonstrated exceptional public speaking skills, showcasing their dedication through thorough speech preparation and practice leading up to the event.
Particularly noteworthy were our Stage 3 students, Charlotte and Rose, who delivered an impressive impromptu speech on ‘The News’ with remarkable maturity and insight.
Shy-Shy Torrens received a commendation from the judges for her outstanding performance.
Congratulations to Elsie, Shy-Shy, Charlotte, and Rose for their hard work and remarkable accomplishments in the 2024 Multi-Cultural Public Speaking Challenge.
