New parking app launched at Armidale Airport

29th Oct 2024

A new car parking app will replace older ticketed machines at Armidale Regional Airport. The new EasyPark app, which will be trialled for 12 months, allows users to pay for parking without the need for cash or physical payment at machines. Payments can be made via linked credit or debit cards.
The new app has the ability to start and stop parking sessions as needed, ensuring that users only pay for the actual time they have parked, potentially saving money and reducing overpayment issues.
Armidale Regional Council Mayor Sam Coupland said that they listened to the feedback from the public about the current parking system and that the new app should streamline the parking process at the airport.
With its robust technology platform, EasyPark has demonstrated significant efficiency in over 4000 cities globally. The system requires minimal infrastructure, with the company providing and maintaining all necessary signage at no additional cost to the Council.
EasyPark includes functionality to help users identify available parking spots.
The app also sends reminders when the parking session is about to expire. This is helpful if passengers’ flights have been delayed or cancelled. Users can extend parking time directly from their phone - especially handy when running late returning to your vehicle.
Free parking for up to two hours continues to be available at the airport.
