Crafty locals selling their wares

14th Jan 2025

The Local Guyra Craft Group stall has been running in conjunction with the Guyra Lamb and Potato Festival since 2017 and will be back again in 2025.
A recent addition was the ‘Landmarks of Guyra’ notebook – with a cover page picture depicting features of the town and district, will be available again this year and this year will see the first outing of “The Sheep Beanie”!
The Guyra Craft Group will set up in the Anglican Church Hall from Wednesday 15th to Sunday 26th January 2025 and will be open from 9am to 4pm daily. The hall is located on the eastern side of the New England Highway opposite the festival site.
The cluster of local crafters invite you to be inspired by an amazing range of options; created and collated by the local craft community, a group of people who love what they do, support each other and have a sense of achievement in having an array of unique items to offer for sale.
All of the creations are made with love by those who bake, cut, cook, crochet, knit, paint, paste, snap, stitch, and can turn their hand to anything.
What is it you may find?-Is it Bags? Handmade; reusable shopper’s; crochet or knitted, makeup & toilet roll holder bags? Is it Towels? Crocheted hand towels; Guyra tea towels? Is it knitted babywear, knitted jumpers, rugs, slippers, socks, hats /children’s bucket hats, or beanies? Handmade cards, a notebook, hand-turned pens, laser cut timber items or metal garden ornaments?
Be sure to check this stall for tasty homemade biscuits, slices, jams or pickles to tempt the palate and something yummy to have with a cuppa; something practical to help with daily living; something warm for cooler days; something lovely to adorn your home, your garden or something beautiful to give as that perfect gift.
Be sure to note the Saturday Devonshire Teas - Teddy Bear’s Picnic from 9:30am to 3pm Saturday 18th and Saturday 25th only – a new option this year, also featuring a display of handmade bears.
There will also be ‘White Elephant Stall’ tables with preloved items for sale – always one to be explored.
Items are priced by the local artisans and may be purchased, with both cash and card sales available. Don’t miss the “Local Guyra Crafters” 9am to 4pm in the Anglican Church Hall at the 2025 Lamb and Potato Festival.
