21st Jan 2025

This Friday, January 24th, the doors of the community pantry will re-open with exciting updates and improvements after a dedicated renovation effort by volunteers during the break.
The pantry will be welcoming customers from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, ready to serve the community with a fresh new look!
The recent upgrades have expanded the pantry’s space, ensuring better access for everyone, including those using trolleys, prams, walkers, or wheelchairs.
The goal is to make your shopping experience smoother and more enjoyable, with a focus on accessibility and convenience. Most notably, the renovation eliminates the previous wait time for entry, making the pantry more user-friendly.
Due to the rising costs that we have been experiencing in keeping the shop well stocked and to keep our community pantry doors open for everyone, we will be implementing a new system. Each item will be minimally priced in comparison with the supermarkets.  This will mean you will have the choice as to how much you’d like to spend.
You can now spend as little as you like or as much as want. This we believe puts the option back in your hands and budget, rather than charge per bag as previously done. Free Bread will still be available.
So bring your own bag and the best of all is our complimentary homemade morning tea on offer if you’d like to hang for a chat.
We look forward to seeing everybody throughout the year that we’ve come to know. We also look forward to meeting anyone that may just want to pop in and check it out with no obligation to shop.
For those who may not be aware of where we are, you’ll find us at 66 Llangothlin Street (The Chapel).
