Explore Advances in Soil Health with the Experts

Southern New England Landcare aims to highlight the latest advancement in soil health and sustainable farming practices on Wednesday the 14th of August at the Armidale Golf Club.
Leading experts Joel Williams from Integrated Soils, Grant Sims from Down Under Covers, and Rachel Lawrence, Natural Capital Advisor from Northern Tablelands Local Land Services (NT LLS), will share their knowledge and practical insights to help farmers improve their agricultural operations.
Joel is an Australian expert in soil health and crop nutrition currently living in Canada whose work focuses on managing soil biology, crop and soil nutrition to optimise plant immunity and soil function and sharing both scientific and practical knowledge on agroecological growing practices.
Grant Sims, founder of Down Under Covers and former President of Vic No Till, was recognised as the Coles Weekly Times Farmer of the Year in 2015 and is known for his approach to sustainable, regenerative agriculture, utilizing multispecies cover crops and biological fertilizers to optimise soil health and animal production.
Dr. Rachel Lawrence is the new Natural Capital advisor for the NT LLS whose role involves keeping abreast of developments in the natural capital schemes and supporting farmers in building natural capital profiles.
Attendees will gain valuable insights into sustainable agriculture, benefiting both their operations and the environment.
