Ladies’ Golf
Last week the Ladies played Stroke and Putting Competition. The winner was Debbie Heffernan with 76 Nett. Leonie Taylor was the runner up with 79 Nett. Kerry Bull won the putting competition.
Nearest the pin winners were, Suzanne Towells on the 7th hole. Wendy George on the 10th hole. Kerry Bull on the 18th hole.
This week is a Par Medal. Next week is another Par Medal. Donna White is the starter.
Our course is drying up and looking beautiful and green. Many thanks to Shane and his helpers for the extra work being done on the tees and the new bridge on the 6th fairway to help drain the water away.

Men’s Bowls
Last weekend the first round of pennants were played. The 4s travelled to Armidale and in the first game were defeated by Inverell RSM 70-50 losing 9.5- 0.5, in game two they were defeated by Uralla 60-47 losing 8-2, and in game three Kootingal defeated Guyra 72-57 , with Guyra losing 9-1. Guyra is now out of division 4 until next year.
In division three Guyra travelled to Inverell and played Inverell Sporties in the first game winning 86-41 for a 10-0 result, and in the last game they defeated Glen Innes in a last bowl thriller 60-58 for a 9-1 win.
Guyra now travel to a club yet to be announced to play Wee Waa and Kootingal in the 
Zone final on the 19th and 20th October.
On Saturday the 28th September at 12 o’clock in Club Pairs Colin Stanley and Tim Ellis will play Anthony Bull and Ian Jacobs.

Sunday Golf
On Sunday the Golfers competed in the Jones, Cracknell and Starr 4BBB Stableford. It was a warm and windy day with the course in great condition for low scores.
The winners for the day were father and son team of Don and Dominic Hill with a score of 43. Second place for the day one point behind was Steve ‘doggy’ Kliendienst and Tyson ‘chooky’ Burey.
A great day was had by all and we look forward to seeing more golfers out there as the weather starts to improve.
The 1st round of Matchplay is complete and the 2nd round games are as follows:
Warren McCowen v Neil Paine, Darrin Towells v Mick Purvis, Adam Brennan v Levi Vanderwolf, Steve Wilson v Wayne Purvis, Tyson Burey v Dominic Hill, Ian Taylor v Mick Jackson and Richard Burey v Scott Mendes.
These matches are to be played by the 26th of October.

Vets Golf
Last Tuesday the 17th we held a two person Ambrose with a draw for partners. Robert Moore and Wally Chapman formed a lethal partnership to come in the winners with 67.25 nett. Runners up were Ian Taylor and Neil Paine with 70 nett. Robert got NTP on the 10th and 18th with Tex getting the 7th. Next Tuesday is the Reg Taylor stroke.
Our three day event is on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of October. If you are playing all or any days of this, you need to get your nomination into Wally.
The first day is a 4BBB. Days two and three are individual stablefords plus a combined score for the two days. The 4BBB is a medley event and the next two days will have male and female competitions.
