Ladies Open highly successful

Last week was the Guyra Ladies Open. With a field of almost 70 players, it was a highly successful day.
We would like to thank our generous sponsors Dick Burey Country Kitchens along with the Guyra Bowling and Recreation Club for your support.
We have so many people to thank who put in hard work and commitments to make our Open Days successful:
Marie Grills and Helen Bearup who help every year, thank you ladies.
The Vet golfers who helped with getting our carts organised and a big thank you to all the members who lend their carts as well as Ian Taylor and Neil Paine for your help putting the carts away.
Shane our greenkeeper along with his helpers. We had several comments on how great our course is looking.
Sammy our cook and the bar staff for your help.
Kerry Bull for your beautiful flowers and everyone who contributed the delicious morning tea.
The Ladies’ Committee and all the lady golfers who contribute to make this day a huge success.
The winners of the Open were Pip White and Jenni Jackson.
Runners up were Debbie Heffernan and Jenny Rogers.
Kerry Bull and Wendy George won the Scratch Runners up.
Shona Mulligan and Belinda Lenehan won the Holes 1-9 score.
Rosie Price and Di Brown from Glen Innes won the 10–18-hole score.
Belinda also won a nearest the pin, along with Vicki Reeves.
This week several ladies are playing in the 2-day tournament up at Glen Innes.
Next week some of our ladies are playing in the NEDGA Tournament up at Tenterfield.
There will be golf in Guyra for players staying home.
