Pip also won Nearest the Pins on the 7th and 9th holes. Wendy Jackson and Wendy George shared the Nearest the Pin on the 18th hole.

Vets Golf
A great field of 17 players last week for our stableford event on a course that’s playing magnificently if recent scores are any indication. Robert Moore had a blinder to start 2026 scoring 39 points to record the win, followed by Jon Cumming just one point away on 38. Best putters were shared by Jon and Colin Mulligan and the NTPs went to Wal Chapman and Terry Varley. Welcome to Peter Mulligan who joined us for a game.
Next Tuesday is pennants in Armidale and we hope to have a good crew support this to start off our campaign in style.

Midweek Golf
Good to see lots of golfers back in the swing of things after the Christmas break.
Top team score for the week went to Baldersleigh Bashers with 88 points, followed by That’s a Gimme on 80, Pitch Purrfects 77 and Green Grass 76.
Some good individual scores were recorded with the top score of 24 going to Ron Starr. Congratulations. Next on 23 was Pip White, Roger Cox and Neil Paine followed closely by Katri Virtanen, Ian Brown, Leonie Taylor and Archie Dowden on 22 points. Good Golfing everyone.

Sunday Golf
The Shire Cup is going down to the wire after the Armidale team defeated Guyra 4-3 which makes the overall score Guyra 10 Armidale 9. There is one round left to be played in Guyra which will be 14 individual Matchplays, so there are 14 points still up for grabs. The last round of Shire Cup will be played on the 15th February.
This weekend will be a 4bbb Stableford open to all golfers, if you don’t have a handicap we will give you one for the day. This will be the last chance for the next round of Matchplay games to be played. HAPPY GOLFING.
