The Super Spuds make their New Red Hill return on Sunday when they face old rivals Narwan.
With home-grown captain-coaches Ben Vidler and Danielle Sutton in charge, the Spuds A grade and leaguetag teams will kick-off 2025 on home soil after a bye in the first round of the Group 19 competition.
Featuring a young squad, the Spuds go into the first competition game fresh from a 22-nil trial game win over Sawtell at Bellingen three weeks ago.
It will be a Group 19 A grade debut for several Guyra players stepping up from under 18s for the first time.
The Spudettes lost their trial game at Werris Creek and take on a very different look to the team from 2023, but will kick off the day at 1pm with the men to follow at about 2.15pm.
It’s $5 entry with bar and canteen open. Spuds supporter jackets will be available at the game and fans can check out the new bar stools and heaters in the grandstand as the club continues to make improvements to the facilities.
The post-game activities will be at new major sponsor the Guyra Hotel.
