Junior golfers take to the course

The Brian Lennon Junior Championships were held on Sunday with the Junior Champion being Harry Purvis with a score of 27 and runner up with 25 was Levi Vanderwolf.
Congratulations to the boys and well done to the other boys who competed in the tournament.
We would like to thank our major sponsor Darren and Tanya Lennon with the competition now in Darren’s father’s name. Also the Guyra Bowling Club for their support and sponsorship of the day.
There was also a 7 hole competition for all juniors without a handicap. This was a very positive roll up with many juniors turning out for the day and a great day was had by all.
Mick Purvis has also donated some of his time with two juniors winning an hours free lessons with Mick. The winners of these lessons were Levi Vanderwolf and Lachie Ellis.
We will be organising more of these days in the near future so keep your eyes open for the Guyra Gazette and also the Guyra Golf Facebook page.
Junior golf is new to the committee we have at the moment and we would appreciate any ideas and feedback from people as long as it remains positive. Thank you to the helpers for the day Scott Mendes, Tyson Burey, Mick Purvis and Steven Wilson.
This weekend is Easter and if numbers are available we will hold a two man Ambrose on Easter Monday.
