Four ball open a big hit with golfers
A Grade winners Steve Kliendienst and Tyson Burey

The 4 ball Open was a big hit for all players on the weekend with great scores and a good time had by all. With the course presented in excellent conditions the players were in for a big challenge. But they were up for the challenge and some brilliant scores were recorded for each grade.
Winners were as follows:
C Grade Winners Cooper Brennan and Trent Mendes B Grade Winners Father and son pairing of Brian and Makklin Groth with a brilliant score of 50 points B Grade Runners up Scott Mendes and Brock Simpkins
A Grade was all tied up after 18 holes so two teams had to play off for the title with the winners being Steve Kliendienst and Tyson Burey and the Runners up being Harry Purvis and Bailey Wilson.
Harry scored a par round himself off the stick which was great to watch and is hoping to push his father all the way in the upcoming championships.

Also a shout out to Khammo (Hammond’s store) for supplying the main prizes at a discount price. If you have not been into Ray and Kristy’s shop take the time out to have a look you won’t be disappointed.
Also to BCF for discounting prizes for the day, the staff were more than helpful to contributing to one of our major events.
The Matchplay final is between Ian Taylor and Mick Purvis after both players won their respective Semi Finals on the 18th hole.
This should be a great final with both players dominating their fields, Mick in the Open and Ian in the Vets.
So now for the Championships, the 1st and 2nd round will begin, weather permitting, this weekend and we are hoping for a large competitive field.
This should be a competitive competition for all Grades with newcomers in the C and B Grade and everybody gunning for Mick Purvis in the A Grade.
